The Forum des Halles has evolved a lot in recent years, and I say this after visiting this place more than 9 years ago. Initially, the general state of that place left something to be desired, but they have managed to make it a beautiful space not only dedicated to shopping.

The Forum des Halles is just a few blocks away from the Marais (gay village) or the awesome Georges Pompidou Center and is located above the Chatelet-les-Halles metro station, which makes it a very busy spot. You will find some well-known brands such as Zara, H & M, Comptoirs des Cotonniers, Promod, Etam, Monoprix and the Fnac.

I recommend this place if you're in an affordable shopping mood while visiting the heart of Paris!

Good selection of stores and shops that is located in a busy area. They have your regulars such as Zara and Nike and H & M but you also find some unique boutiques. You can spend an afternoon walking around as it is quite large and you can also find a place for a treat if your so inclined.
Overall just an average shopping mall that gets crowded with a good selection of shops and food.

It used to be an outdoor market now a shopping mall with subway station. A large Lego store on the ground floor. I like the furniture store the 'Maisons Du Monde' . Chained coffee shop 'Paul' is also good too.

I can just recommend this awesome shopping center! It's really big, has a lot of shops and perfect to stay there during it rains!

Furthermore there are also cafes and places to drink, sephora is also good

Additionally there are shops like Superdry, H&M, Calvin Klein, Muji...

I've heard people describe this place as hole in the ground, it is a very apt description - considering the following factors - they are right now under very massive renovation and the fact that it currently is sitting on top of a major hub of transportation for the Paris Metro/RER lines. - Think the underbelly of Union Station in Toronto, only bigger & dirtier and without the old building train station feel.

Most of the retail stores are mainstream, like H&M and FNAC, so in other words nothing to write home about.  There is a nice furniture store on one of the upper levels; but I find that street browsing at the stores that don't belong to the Mall at street level are much more intriguing and much more lively
